Major Projects & DevelopmentInitial role on appointment to Australand was to identify and coordinate the development of major mixed-use residential projects, a newly created Executive role which involved integrating the disparate cultural and operational businesses acquired through Australand's recent acquisition of Walker Corporation. This role was to be replaced with Executive General Manager position of the groups Apartment Division. Following a strategic review of the group's structure, this role was amalgamated within the overall Residential Division and promotion to EGM Commercial & Industrial Development and later COO.

Appointed by global property services group Colliers International to a newly created role with overall responsibility for their Residential Project Marketing Division and to develop a National business line focused on major mixed-use projects, including acquisitions, divestments, site amalgamation, residential apartment off plan sales & marketing and sales of major residential projects whilst expanding a national business stream within New Zealand, SE Queensland and throughout Australia..During this period Colliers International established itself throughout Australia as the countries pre-eminent residential Apartment project marketing organisation.My businesses strategy was to "internationalise" its distribution platform whilst developing Colliers' ability to source product through development expertise to feed the Residential Sales team. This resulted in 37 major residential project divestitures valued at approximately $1.2bn and some 40 Apartment presale projects serviced by a national team of 68 and international project sales; UK etc. and expansion of the Agency Platform throughout Australia and New Zealand.Major Achievements - Mixed Use SitesKogarah Town Square Redevelopment$220m mixed retail and residential development on behalf of Kogarah Council. Wolli Creek RedevelopmentMixed Use master planned development comprising 1200 apartments, retail, commercial and community development on behalf of Landcom and Consolidated Development. Relocated to NSW and accepted a position with International agency Knight Frank, responsible for their sales division and reporting to their National Director. Initial focus on key national client base with appointments throughout Australia to manage major property divestment projects including Commonwealth Bank, Westpac, TABCORP, National Foods and mixed use development opportunities. Offshore appointments including sale of Papua New Guinea assets for Kumagai Gumi.

Following the acquisition of Colliers Perth operation by Hooker Corporation in 1987, I accepted a position to re-establish the group's agency operation in Western Australia.

The role included developing and implementing a business strategy to achieve market leadership in Industrial and non-CBD leasing and sales plus responsibility for overall financial performance. A broad range of transactional activities including major residential sub-divisional land, commercial, retail and industrial pre-leases to major tenants, industrial land subdivisions and divestments on behalf of General Motors Holden, Commonwealth and State Government etc.
