Barzan Subsea Pipeline Project Functional Support / Quality Adviser (6-month contract extended by 6-months) Italy, Qatar.Primary role was to utilize my many years of quality and technical knowledge to help progress this project through Phase Ⅰ, of Mechanical Completion. I reported directly to the Qatargas Project Quality Manager as well as supporting QG Construction and Engineering Team Leads. I collaborated with the EPC (Saipem) Engineering and Technical Quality Manager to ensure that contractors, sub-contractors, and vendors essential manufacturing and installation documents were supplied to me, so I could perform a detailed review, and ensure these documents were in alignment with technical content and in compliance to project specifications, procedures, codes, and standards. This documented information covered a wide range of subsea pipeline engineering, manufacturing, and installation disciplines, including a rigorous inspection and testing regimen, based on the Criticality Level. I provided a fully comprehensive report to the Quality Manager and Engineering Team Leads on a daily and weekly basis, also updated records in the project database. Once all documents were reviewed for compliance, they were submitted to the respective quality and technical engineering senior team members, for final approval and disposition. With my support, this project did progress on-time through phase Ⅰ, to phase Ⅱ of mechanical completion.
