My role is to support children and young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties along with learning difficulties including autism. I work with the young people with there day to day routines and supporte them to undertake personal, oral and dietary care tasks. Along with staff team I developed SHANARRI care plans, risk assessments, behavioural support plans along with writing reports. I attend LAAC reviews, planning meetings, children's hearings and other multi disciplinary meetings. As part of person centred care I work with many members of the multi disciplinary to ensure a high level of care in meeting the needs of the young people. As part of my role I support the staff team on shift with fulfilling the needs of the young people and managing situations. This includes health and safety, petty cash, shift planning, administering medication etc. I support and supervise staff members to built there skills and knowledge as well as developing as a reflective worker. Additional to my role I have taken on the role of in-house trainer where I analyse training needs, source or develop the training course and then deliver as well as ensuring all staff are meeting registration conditions and PRTL needs.I have recently been promoted to Lead Senior Residential worker due to my personal development as well as my part in service development including my role in training and development of staff.

Set up the organisation including registering with SCSWIS, drafting all paperwork (care plans, assessment tools, policy and procedures, recruitment and staffing). I was also tasked with deciding the model to use for the care and support of the service users. My role was also responsible for developing recording systems for all aspects of the company. I marketed the company using various methods and ensure that the company name is being recognised as much as possible, this also included dealing with any queries as to the service, keeping up to date with relevant Local Authority tenders and planning for partaking in upcoming processes

First line manager to support at home services for people with learning and physical disabilities and mental health issues. I managed 8 services across the North Lanarkshire area, made up of 24 hours packages to peripatetic services providing a few hours support per week. I ensured that the person supported receives a high level of support. I did this by writing support plans, risk assessments, medication sheets. I also audited the staff's work on a regular basis. I managed circa 20 staff where I provide them with there rota's, support and supervision, coaching and mentoring, training needs analysis. My role required me to liaise with other professionals, family members, friends etc. I worked to the self directed support model, which allows for person centred support.
