Managerial responsibility for academic staff within the teaching team of Sustainable Buildings and Energy SystemsResponsible for the development of programmes in Architectural Engineering and Building Services Engineering in the UK and in Hong Kong.Responsible for the development of Overseas Bridge course for students from Singapore.As a senior member of staff at Northumbria University I have also held managerial positions of: Director of Programme Development, Subject Director, Programme Leader, Year Tutor and Module Tutor over a 25 year period.

Academic leadership for the courses in Building Services Engineering at Northumbria University.In University education my primary subject area has been Design Projects involving the integration of Building Services Engineering and Architectural students at the final stage of BEng/MEng (Hons) degree courses. I have also instigated subjects in Critical Design Analysis and Concept Design at Integrated Masters level as well as teaching Heating and Air Conditioning Control Strategy, Air Conditioning and Heating systems.

As a Chartered Engineer I was mainly involved in the design and installation of mechanical engineering services for Hospitals and Office developments involving the design of the usual array of heating, air conditioning and domestic services but led a small group in considering innovative concept designs.
