President and CEO of a 25 store pharmacy chain from 1999 to 2005. President and CEO of a 5 store pharmacy chain from 1984 to present. President of the California Pharmacists Association, 1997, President of the National Community Pharmacists Association, 2007.Member of the California State Board of Pharmacy, 2001 to 2005. From 1992 to 2010, I did quite a bit of public speaking, at various pharmacy, and State Association events, regarding healthcare issues,changes in pharmacy practice, Legislation affecting pharmacy, and the profession, etc. I also testified numerous times to both the California State Assembly, and State Senate Health and Budget committees on potential Provider cuts to Medi-Cal, loss of pharmacies to patients, due to Budget cuts, etc. I also testified many times before Congressional committees regarding Prescription Drug pricing, Brand name vs. Generics, Patent laws for Brand name drugs, Medicare Part D, Average Manufacturer's Price of Drugs, and how it related to community pharmacy's purchasing, as well as many visits to Members of Congress, and 3 Presidents on Health Care Reform, and keeping Community Pharmacy Viable to be able to serve our patients. Personally, I received a NCAA scholarship back in college days for both Golf and Basketball. Still play golf in Amateur events, and enjoy spending time with my family.
