Attorney with a focus on litigation and motion practice with an eye towards quick, thoughtful resolution to pending problems. Graduated from University of Georgia School of Law in 2021 and was immediately launched into prosecuting felonies and misdemeanors in Oglethorpe County. I was forced to learn quickly and thrived in the autonomy as an Assistant District Attorney. It was my job to coordinate court calendars, file timely and particularized motions, and negotiate plea bargains. My time with the Northern Judicial Circuit provided a well rounded foundation of skills that I use every day. After going head to head in a felony Child Cruelty trial, I was offered a position as the inaugural associate for Mr. Adam J. Harkness. As a defense attorney I find that I use the same skills I learned as a prosecutor but in a wholly different context. While the client management aspect adds a layer of pressure, I am motivated to create outcomes that balance the severity of the State's view of a case with the goals and future plans of the client. While my current focus is criminal law, my in court experience, drafting skills, and litigation skill can be applied to a variety of practices.
