The responsibilities include helping to ensure compliance with the arrangements made by the company under IRR99 and, in particular, supervising the arrangements set out in local rules. This involves taking steps to avoid hazards and their recurrence where possible, enforcing regular monitoring for contamination and keeping an up to date record at all times..Experienced in a wide variety of analytical techniques including HPLC (analytical and preparative), IR, Karl-Fisher titration, LSC, MS, NMR, PSL, TLC and UV for non-regulatory and in-process GMP analysis.Proficient in industry related software: Chemistry software (ChemDraw, Reaxys and SciFinder databases). Radioactivity management software (IsoStock). Analytical software (EZChrom Elite, TotalChrom, MassLynx, and MestreNova). User-level regulatory software (QAAD and X-Docs). Microsoft Office software (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).Interpreted, documented and presented results at a department and customer level in the form of synthesis reports, teleconferences and face to face meetings.

Three month JSPS summer research internship spent working in the Prof. Kazunari Taira laboratory at the National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology (AIST) in Tsukuba, Japan.The scope of research involved the production of an antibody mimic that had two novel ligands that contain the HER2 binding protein. These two proteins could then be cross-coupled together through a unique linker. A range of potential drugs could then be attached to the cross-linker for drug delivery. Research involved expanding knowledge in biomolecular techniques including PCR, gel electrophoresis and protein sequencing.

Responsible for the supervision of the undergraduate organic chemistry laboratory classes. This involved ensuring the students worked in a safe manner whilst helping them to complete the laboratory synthesis experiments.
