Conducts Test and Evaluation Working Group (TEWG) meetings – generating agendas, tracking action items to completion, and maintaining schedules in Microsoft Project. Develops Modeling and Simulation (M&S) Verification, Validation, and Accreditation (VV&A) plans in support of decoy testing. In earlier assignments, supported PEO IWS in the testing of the MK 59 Decoy Launching System (DLS), and the Advanced Decoy Architecture Project (ADAP) Nulka payload. In 2018 provided an on-site presence at the developer’s facility which ensured that testing of the latest Nulka upgrade completed in time for the Milestone C decision to proceed to the next acquisition phase of the program.Supported NSWCDD in the development of the Surface Electronic Warfare Improvement Program (SEWIP). Developed and maintained the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) for the Soft Kill Coordinator (SKC) using Microsoft Project. Supported the development of the SKC Project Management Plan by drafting its Configuration Management, Risk Management, and Roles and Responsibilities sections.Managed the procurement of two antenna pedestals for a SEWIP Block 2 test trailer, including managing drawing changes, tracking vendor progress, and conducting functional testing. -
Engineering LeadUrs Corporation Mar 2007 - Aug 2012San Francisco, Ca, UsManaged a team of over 30 engineers and analysts, across several disciplines, in support of the Joint MRAP Vehicle Program. Supervised the acquisition of components and systems intended for cross-platform integration, verifying that the Department of Defense acquisition process is followed.Verified that requirements provided in the Capability Production Documents (CPD) and theater-generated statements of need are met. Developed and maintained engineering documents required for an ACAT 1D program, including the System Engineering Plan, System Security Authorization Agreement, Information Support Plan, Requirements Traceability Matrices (RTM), and Program Protection Plan.Analyzed vehicle automotive and occupant protection performance and provides engineering solutions for any deficiencies. Developed test plans and procedures to validate vehicle upgrades.Supervised the implementation and execution of the Configuration Management process which functions across multiple manufacturers and government organizations, and conducted Physical Configuration Audits (PCA) of vehicles and Government Furnished Equipment (GFE) at manufacturer sites.Using a lesson-learned from an engineering project, lead the development of a process and toolkit to expedite future acquisition activities. -
Principal EngineerUrs Corporation Jul 2004 - Mar 2007San Francisco, Ca, UsSupported the Office of Naval Research (ONR) in the development of the Multifunction Electronic Warfare (MFEW) system. Analyzed system requirements and design. Evaluated and tracked MFEW program risks. Estimated electromagnetic environment on board DD(X), and its impact on MFEW performance.Supported PEO IWS6 in the development of the Open Architecture Track Manager (OATM). Developed requirements for the OATM System Requirements Document (SRD). Analyzed Single Integrated Air Picture (SIAP), DD(X), and CVN-21 design and requirements, and developed solutions to address the technical differences between each system’s Situational Awareness (SA) implementation.Authored process management procedures in support of developing an organizational Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI) process. Served as a member of the Engineering Process Group (EPG) and Engineering Steering Group (ESG). Note: During this period EG&E was acquired and incorporated into URS Corporation. -
Senior EngineerSchafer Corporation 2003 - 2004Arlington, Va, UsDeveloped and maintained requirement and design documents for the GMD Fire Control/ Communications (GFC/C) and Space Based Infrared System (SBIRS) related interfaces. Researched technical interface issues, developed change packages, coordinated with SBIRS vendor, and made presentations on interface issues to the Boeing change control boards.Conducted system engineering analyzes related to specific GMD technical issues. One significant example was missile typing. Developed a problem solution after analyzing several alternatives, presented findings to management and customer organizations, and worked to identify and mitigate system risk. -
