Worked on Operations Portal and Reporting Suite Systems. The Operations Portal was written in Java 8 and made use of Lambda Expressions, Method References and File Visitors. The Reporting Suite System was written in Java 5. My task was to upgrade it to Java 8 on the latest version of Tomcat. Both systems used Spring Dependency Injection, Spring MVC, and Spring JDBC support.

Worked on Customer Electronic Funds Transfer System. Extracting payments to be processed for that day from the source system using Java Batch.

Mercedes Benz Financial Services

Working on the Scenario Linked Repository System. Updating Vehicle Information using Java code that reads XML files and Excel Spreadsheets. Also uses JSP pages and Struts2 to maintain vehicle data.

La-Z-Boy

Worked on a Retail Management System written in Java also uses JBOSS JMS queues and Drools rule based logic for pricing. The backend database is PostgreSQL. The application server is Apache Tomcat version 6.0. Spring MVC is also used. Hibernate is used by the rules engine for data validation.

Chrysler

Worked on a team at Chrysler which merged three procurement applications into one and modified the logic to interface with SAP, and updated the code for Java 6. Helped support the Global Platform for Sourcing and Information Services. Help the offshore team in Chennai when problems occur.

Worked on the Global Procurement and Supply Information System and also the Incentive Information Service at Chrysler. Both Systems used IBM WebSphere, Java and J2EE with a DB2 database.

Helped support the Incentive Information System and Dealer Incentive Communication Systems.Helped support the Asian Supplier Database system including using Jakarta POI to create and read Excel spreadsheets to allow suppliers to update their profiles. Helped create a Global Commodity Code Analysis Report that allows the user to choose which columns appear on the report. Helped create a Commodity Analysis Matrix Review report using Struts and IText to allow users to create a presentation on a PDF file.

Consultant.Worked with Java, Oracle and DB2 databases, Cobol, and CICS. Clients included GMAC, Holnam, Detroit Edison, State of Michigan, Chrysler, Franks Nursery and Crafts, and Highland Appliance.

Used Java, JSP pages, servlets, and XML to create web pages which allowed the credit application web site to prompt the user for marital status; also added an opt in option for Canada. Supported Web Oscar site.Used Java and the Jakarta Regexp project to scan the WebLogic log for errors. The search criteria were entered as regular expressions. If there were matches, an email could be sent.

Converted Image databases from US measurements to Metric measurements.Created an Access database to track which programs needed to be changed.Modified Cobol programs to use metric conversion rates.
