I've entered my 'post-responsibility/post-family' phase... finally! 'Kids' are grown men - 2 career-oriented, successful leaders in their chosen fields... I've EARNED the 'retirement' that is now my everyday 'challenge'. (Work to PLAY)Responsibility is singular now, yet I will always keep connected to that which is important to me - people are the 'grease' for the wheels of my social consciousness... and input from family and friends keeps the ego in a good place.Expertise in negotiation (my forte during my 'career days' in the automotive retail trade for 30 years in Toronto/Mississauga/Markham), is a memory of long days and managed stress, and recognized success. I've attempted to establish business enterprises of my own, in automotive (financing/leasing) and sports enterprises ( hockey equipment) with limited success, when my interest in retail management waned from time to time during this period (but my skill in the choice of suitable business partners was quite naive in trusting others' work ethic). I've always preferred, and practised the ''hands-on" approach to effectiveness, whether personal or instructive... and I've carried over this attitude to my present life... "Just Do It!"
