Work within the Interstate Operational Readiness team to provide operational advice & guidance on Inland Rail projects, designs & procedures to enable the project & asset teams to deliver operational outcomes to meet customer needs. Operations negotiations for network connectivity between ARTC, other rail networks & customer facilities such as terminals, existing rail sidings & ensure their continued operational usage. Facilitating exchange of Operations information between Inland Rail, Customers, Operations, Assets & Possession teams to identify resources & Operations requirements within existing ARTC's business units to assist Inland Rail in developing & executing this major project.

Manage and assist in delivery of rail operational projects targeting future positive operational outcomes for ARTC's network customers. Work closely with the ARTC Network Control Optimisation Project team to deliver a step change in operational efficiency to the operational environment at Network Control Centre North at Broadmeadow, interfacing with above rail operators, network interface organisations and the Hunter Valley Coal Chain Coordinator on reducing inefficiencies on the ARTC network. Operational Interface with ARTC's Inland Rail Project.

Management of the Network Control Centre North and Operations team, Controlling Rail Operations in Hunter Valley / North Coast and Northern area of NSW, Ensure effective delivery the Hunter Valley coal chain, passenger and freight rail train plans each day, Stakeholder and customer communications on network and operator safety/operational issues. Focus on ensuring customer service by the operations team.

Manage and complete required operations processes, risk assessments for all projects delivered for rail and system changes into the network controls centers at Broadmeadow and Junee. Represent Operations area in customer, major , minor projects and third party operational project interface meetings. Attend and manage major network Incidents as required to assist ARTC operations.

Rail Signal Box Staff Management, Signal Box Safety Management, Safety and Process Aduiting of Safety Locations, Operational Rail Network Incident Management including derailments and liaise with Assets, Train Operators and Regulators on site, Review Safe working breaches & attend network fatalities. Provide input into network interfaces and connections agreements.

Rail Station Management, Station Customer Service, Train Shunting Operations, Ticket Sales, Weighbridge Ops, Large and Small Freight Consignment, Signal box's signaling operations, On track Traffic Officer duty's with the assets teams to ensure a safe track access for team.
