John is a Chartered Accountant from Scotland with experience working as a professional accountant at Deloitte and EY. He has also worked in commerce, focusing on business development and M&A in sectors such as food, beverages, and sports media. He began focusing more on the environmental and waste-to-energy sectors in 2008, helping companies from the US and Canada develop their technologies and businesses in China and Asia. He started working with Black & Veatch in 2018, representing KUG Technology in Asia by sourcing long-term feedstock supplies of empty fruit bunches (EFB) and other crop residue waste (CRW).
