Much of my sculpture is inspired by the work of Alberto Giacometti, working in clay and Plaster of Paris with layers of acrylic paint creating interpretive sculptural pieces. I strive to exemplify his fascination in abstract form without losing the elongated impressionism so reminiscent of Giacometti’s existentialism. The thin rugged sculpture I create gives visual form to human experience, and through its stance and facial expression asks the viewer to contextualize it for themselves, bringing to it a very personal meaning and relevance. In addition to my Giacometti inspired sculpture, I also create more contemporary work but still adhering to my love of working in plaster, clay and acrylic. I Have been commissioned to create outstanding works of sculpture for individuals who appreciate original, beautifully executed pieces of art, and enjoy the challenge of making something which will be adored and loved for many years to come.
