Located in the Great Rift Valley, Kenya, the Mayers Farm required meto launch an upmarket spring water brand from the ground up. Frombuilding the water bottling factory, converting the land to a wildlifesanctuary, managing community relations, creating an innovativereforestation programme and establishing a premium bottled waterbrand for an international market, I was able to utilise my full range ofstrategic marketing and business management skills.

In my capacity as Director of East Africa, I restructured ZK Advertisingacross Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania, and I brought RedSky Advertisinginto the TBWA fold. The agency provided through-the-line creativeconceptualisation and implementation, PR, media planning/buying,client service and account management for major brands in the region.

Paris Area, France

Based in Paris, I imported fresh cut flowers from several countries inAfrica and marketed them to Europe’s largest supermarket chains andflower retailers.

Harare, Zimbabwe

Based in Zimbabwe, Cargo Park sourced fresh cut flowers from aconsortium of growers and marketed them to 17 countries around theworld.

I founded this full service agency in Harare, Zimbabwe as part of theMcCann Erickson Worldwide group. The agency represents the largestand most recognisable brands in the country, including Coca Cola, Nestleand Nissan. The agency is still operating and growing.

I was brought in to McCann Erickson Edinburgh and tasked with turningit from a loss maker into a highly profitable leading agency within 17months.

London, United Kingdom

Based in London, I started as the Director for Europe, Middle Eastand Africa and quickly moved on to become the Global AccountDirector responsible for the Vaseline brand across 35 countries. Basedbetween London and New York, I also completed a Global LeadershipDevelopment course at Columbia University, an Ivy League institution inUpper Manhattan.
