Managing a team of between 30 and 50 people per shift, depending on business needs, I report into an operations manager and have a team leader report into myself. Distributing the workload and different tasks throughout my team I ensure we meet customers’ demands when the customer orders from our sales team. I provide regular feedback to all of my team and hold reviews on a regular basis. I identify staff training needs to get the best out of my team. Other day to day duties I carry out include managing/monitoring KPI’s, overseeing goods inwards, ensuring dispatched orders are correct, and identifying areas of potential improvement. In my time in this role I have had experience of holding discipline and grievance hearings/investigations and conducting a RIDDOR investigation, alongside the health and safety team. I am a hands on manager and am always looking to challenge myself and my team.
