As Group leader Bioinformatics at Sanquin I am involved in a wide variety of research on blood. My main focus is on characterising complex biological systems related to blood function and blood disorders by applying various bioinformatic approaches, like data integration and machine learning, NGS and proteomics. I have developed myself as a dedicated researcher working together with both computational and experimental researchers to bridge the gap between the two complementary disciplines in research.
