1. Leads and develops emergency, security and business continuity management plans, protocols and strategies to safeguard correctional services and ensure an effective response to emergency situations/events following ministry and government mandates, objectives, requirements, standards, regulations and legislation and to ensure appropriate levels of service and program delivery within correctional services. 2. Reviews and evaluates emergency and security management and control strategies and identifies areas of improvements to ensure the mitigation of risks and an appropriate response to emergency situations. Coordinates correctional services emergency response efforts and support/advise/assist ministries, municipalities, and other organizations in responding to emergency situations/events. Staffs operations centres as required during monitoring, pre-action, and activation periods to ensure systems are operational and available to respond to emergency situations.
