I am currently handling a process engineering role in Fluor Daniel Inc. Philippines. Prior joining Fluor, I have been one of the process engineers assigned to the JGSOC's Unipol PE Plants and have spent more than 8 years in the process engineering department. As a process engineer, my tasks are to ensure stable and efficient daily plant operation through monitoring of various process parameters, provide technical support during critical grade campaigns - both start-up and transitions, recommend actions to prevent continuity issues as well as reduce the production of off-spec materials, investigate process upsets and recommend solutions that will prevent its recurrence. We also conduct engineering studies and provide recommendations for engineering work requests and implement process modifications that will optimize plant performance, prevent process upsets, reduce operating cost, and upholds the safety of the plant. In line with process safety, I also have extensive experience leading process hazard analysis such as HAZID, HAZOP study, What-if Analysis, and other type of risk assessments for different plant modifications and emergency scenarios.Before joining the process engineering department, I spent one year in the HSE department where I was able to participate in different safety tasks such as monitoring and auditing daily maintenance works and other activities in the plant, ensuring the safety of personnel through audits on their compliance to the work permit system. I have also developed the existing leak detection and repair (LDAR) program wherein the use of optical gas imaging camera (FLIR) is being employed. In addition, I spent my first year with the company in the PE operations department wherein I was able to experience field works such as field process parameters monitoring and other routine activities such as product sampling, catalyst and additive charging, and other activities needed for continuous plant operation.I got my Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering from Batangas State University and was also one of the company’s scholars during that time. I currently reside in Batangas City, Philippines. My interests include photography, traveling, and outdoor activities such as hiking.
