I currently lead Leggett & Platt’s centralized trade compliance group overseeing its international supply chains for a wide variety of compliance concern areas – as well as helping to also ensure their efficiency and effectiveness. • I also continue to successfully continue to function as the in-house trade compliance counsel for Leggett having reporting responsibilities to both our general counsel and head of global tax on a wide variety of trade issues.• As part of my legal role with the corporation I am part of the team that drafts and reviews agreements with other parties for trade compliance concerns. Denied party screening and decision making also falls under my current responsibilities.• My group currently oversees supply chain security (AEO, C-TPAT, etc) as well ESG compliance concerns for foreign suppliers within our global supply chain.• Continue to assist with the operation of five distinct internal trade compliance teams to ensure compliant and efficient functioning of our global supply chain. • Drafting, review and updating of our corporation’s ITAR and OFAC policies and procedures, as well as reviewing compliance with them is also one of my responsibilities.• I am currently the Corporation’s empowered individual with reference to interaction with CBP, BIS and DDTC as well as in terms of license applicability research and application.• One of my main duties is to continue to direct and manage the overall import and export compliance activities for Leggett’s global operations in the domains of its aerospace, automotive, manufacturing, textile and machinery groups.• Assistance with litigation on trade matters and related issues also continues to be one of my responsibilities.• I continue to function as the corporation’s primary legal representative for Vietnam and Hungary.• Management of Leggett’s Section 301 and 232 duty planning and response efforts also fall under my responsibility.

Supervised an expanded international supply chain compliance and internal customs compliance program beyond my prior responsibilities, while also directly now responsible for leading 4+ global supply chain compliance teams, including groups in China and Vietnam. • Continued to act as corporation’s primary trade compliance officer and reported to corporation’s General Counsel as needed for various international trade matters.• Built new compliance teams in both Hungary and Mexico while still managing a centralized import/export compliance team in Chicago. Optimized the $5M+ annual group global budget. • Facilitated the initiation and execution of 3 different IMMEX operations in Mexico that have resulted in duty savings of over $5M annually.• Aided the team to upgrade internal import compliance systems and processes (E2Open), aligning with a general corporate update to Microsoft AX, within budget and time constraints.• Drafted and applied new export compliance rules and improved OFAC and ITAR global review policies and procedures for entire corporation and developed process to merge them within existing compliance programs.• Effectively managed an automated trade compliance process for the Corporation, resulting in both lower exam rate and annual customs delays, with both metrics being under 1% of all annual entries.• Drafted policies and manages processes that identified both supply chain risks and opportunities that could impact the entire corporation in terms of both supply chain and global import and export compliance.• Continued to act as empowered official for corporation in reference to both DDTC and BIS licensing issues concerning Aerospace and Machinery exports from both Europe and the United States.

With this promotion I undertook primary responsibility for all trade compliance worldwide for the Corporation in all jurisdictions in which the corporation operates. • I was also formally designated as the Empowered Official for all export licensing concerns for DDTC and BIS concerns.• A primary function of mine was to continue to act as the corporation’s trade compliance officer and reported to corporation’s General Counsel as needed for review and drafting of contracts, agreements and oversight of litigation on trade matters• I continued to supervise overall the international supply chain compliance and internal customs compliance program, while also leading 4+ global supply chain compliance teams, including groups in China and Vietnam. • Responsibilities increased in terms of efficiently and effectively managing an increased annual group budget with increased responsibilities. • With acquisition of the Leggett Aerospace group and subsequent acquisitions became responsible for review of parts database for USML and or ITAR review and licensing. Part of the management team involved in the setup and execution of IMMEX operations in Mexico.• Successfully completed first non-US manufacturer C-TPAT application and validation. • Managed and assisted in the design of upgrade internal compliance systems and processes (E2Open), aligning with a general corporate ERP change to Microsoft AX.• Drafted and applied new export compliance rules and improved OFAC and ITAR global review policies and procedures for entire corporation that are contained within Corporation’s policies.

Served as the corporation’s first dedicated trade compliance professional as well also being the first in-house legal trade expert hired by the corporation. • Built, recruited, and expanded the first centralized trade compliance team in the United States for the corporation • Oversaw and managed the legal and financial provisions to introduce the corporation’s first permanent overseas compliance employees and offices.• Led the project that designed and implemented the corporation’s first overall automated trade compliance system (Nextlinx/E2Open) which was operated alongside a new procurement system based on the Peoplesoft ERP platform.• Directed the corporation’s response to a CBP Focused Assessment, concluding in zero material deficiencies.• Drafted and instituted the first corporate-wide trade compliance program, enhancing its export/import functions.• Set up and managed the first export licensing and control program for the corporation’s entities working with potential USML and ITAR items.• Facilitated the corporation’s first supply chain security certification, resulting in a successful validation into the C-TPAT program across all USA facilities – as well as additional off-shore programs in multiple countries.• Formulated the corporation’s first ethical supplier compliance requirements in terms of environmental and labor compliance – as well as in terms of supply chain security.

• Successfully managed the import brokerage business of firm, representing various governmental agencies as well as pharmaceutical, defense and technology companies. • Planned and completed various export licensing projects that are subject to regulation by either the U.S. Department of State and the Bureau of Export Administration.• Was responsible of drafting all licensing applications for a variety of products subject to various export controls.• Spearheaded the development of the firm’s entry into consulting with numerous supply chain and specialty projects. • Worked with FDA, EPA, F&W, ATF and various other governmental agencies regarding various import and export projects. • Drafted and researched numerous prior disclosures for consulting clients as well as conducted negotiations with U.S. Customs as need be for remediation of import and export issues.

• Competently managed the firm’s compliance with USCS regulations as they related to the entry process. • Became proficient in the operation of the USCS ABI, ACH and AMS systems. • Became proficient with the use and application of U.S. export regulations. • Assisted staff in understanding the relevant USCS and OGA regulations, as well as demonstrating their respective application to common import and export situations.• Managed relationship of firm’s network of international customhouse brokers and freight forwarders. • Conducted a full analysis on the profitability of these various relationships, and re-structured them accordingly.
