Microsoft - Search Index Lead/Senior Software Engineer at Microsoft - Large NYC Public Safety Project (December 2012 - present)Lead Developer - Lehigh Valley RIIC (October 2011 - December 2012)Lead an Agile software development team responsible for building a sophisticated, web-based analytical software toolset and portal aimed at professional criminal intelligence analysts and street-level law enforcement officers. Version 1.0 was completed in 9 months and ahead of schedule. Implemented an end-to-end search service component with the capability of consuming data from virtually any law enforcement data source. Version 1.0 of the service integrates data from 15 county law enforcement RMS systems, county jail records, Pennsylvania JNET and the Accurint public records service. Additional data sources will be added as part of phase 2 of the project.Designed/built a full-featured “Request for Information” ticketing system to enable county-wide law enforcement users to request assistance from crime analysts situated at the LVRIIC. Designed and implemented the entire web-based user interface for this application. It was built with both professional crime analysts as well as street-level law enforcement officers in mind. Leveraged jQuery, AJAX, HTML 5 and CSS to provide a highly responsive and interactive user experience. Technology stack used: Microsoft .NET 4.0, ASP.NET, WCF, REST, SOAP, AJAX, jQuery, ESRI ArcGIS javascript API for mapping, Microsoft SQL Server 2012, Visual Analytics REST API, DotNetNuke 6, HTML 5, CSS, Microsoft Entity Framework, Microsoft Enterprise Library. Lead the team using the Agile development SDLC process.
