John is responsible for events, new memberships and sponsors. John's career with the Empire Club of Canada (Senior Board Member), the Toronto Chapter of Human Resources Professionals Association (Board Member) and his direct involvement in introducing the California-based VerdeExchange Conference to Canada all show his abilities and connections to succeed in his new role. John's focus will be to increase memberships for all three Ontario AmCham Chapters and enlist new corporate sponsors that would gain exposure throughout Ontario. As you may already know, the American Chamber of Commerce in Canada is a private, non-profit, membership organization that promotes the two-way flow of trade, goods, services and investment between Canada and the United States. The three AmCham Ontario Chapters are committed to promoting trade opportunities, advancing economic growth, and facilitating the mobility of people, goods and services across the longest undefended border in the world. In Canada, we work closely with both governments on matters of commerce and continually strives to promote and foster a positive climate for commerce, trade and investment between the United States and Canada, as well as positive working environment among the business people and professional who facilitate and strengthen economic ties between the two countries. Due to its focus on the U.S.-Canada trade relationship, the Ontario AmCham Chapters are primarily structured to service not only the numerous American companies operating in Canada and U.S. companies seeking partnerships and other opportunities. However, we also serve the interests of Canadian companies currently operating, or interested in operating in the United States.
