I propose the establishment of a climate-controlled multi-sport facility aimed at training, educating, and advancing athletes in Georgia. Our goal is to provide exceptional training and competition venues that serve not only athletes but the entire community. 1. Mitigating Weather Disruptions: Field sports typically lose 15-30% of their practice time and games due to adverse weather. A climate-controlled facility will allow for year-round training. 2. Injury Prevention: Many sports injuries result from extreme heat, cold, or wet conditions. 3. Unique Community Resource: Georgia currently lacks a publicly accessible full-field climate-controlled facility. 4. Team Identity and Development: Teams require dedicated spaces to develop their identity and receive quality training. 5. Cost-Effective Investment: The investment required to build this facility is minimal. 6. Strong Return on Investment: We anticipate the facility’s value will exceed its initial cost. 7. Support for Female Athletes: The facility will enhance Title IX opportunities. 8. Educational Opportunities: HOPE scholarships, encouraging them to pursue higher education locally.The youth sports industry exceeds $250 billion annually, with average spending per athlete ranging from $5,000 to $10,000. We project to attract 8,000 to 10,000 members by year three. Two leagues (soccer and baseball) have already committed to joining us, along with several fast-pitch travel teams.With 1,500 pre-commitments and Atlanta’s population of 7.2 million, currently has no climate-controlled facility to serve this vast market.We invite you to join us in this transformative venture of youth sports in Georgia.
