Working closely with national Buying teams and internal stakeholders, I designed core ranges and promotional programs that delivered on targeted budgets and allowed me to achieve my KPI's. In the three years I was employed at Hunter Leisure, I established and developed a core-range of wheeled toys and accessories positioned within the Kmart account; I was able to grow Hunter Leisure's annual SKU count with Aldi by 12% and increased Toyworld's business by 130% within my first year, developing it further by an additional 10% YOY in 2016 and 2017.

Key Account Manager - IndependentsMattel Oct 2012 - Mar 2014Melbourne, AustraliaMattel is the global leader in the production and distribution of toys. Incorporating household brands such as Barbie, Hot Wheels and Fisher Price, Mattel are ranked #1 toy-company in the Australian market. During my tenure at Mattel, I maintained and developed business relationships with key independents such as ARL (Toyworld), Aldi, Harvey Norman, Chrisco, Costco etc. Tasked with securing and developing support for Mattel brands such as Fisher Price, Barbie, Monster High, Hot Wheels as well as distributed licenses such as those under the Disney banner, I designed, presented and implemented annual plans that delivered and surpassed expectations. Acting as the face and voice of Mattel at a Head Office level, I managed, coached and steered a team of three direct reports in regards to implementing and executing sales initiatives I had negotiated with National Buyers. Whilst employed at Mattel, I grew Toyworld's overall business by 5%. Presenting range reviews to the Buying Committee, I negotiated deals that resulted in a 15% increase in total lines selected for their annual core-range and a 22% increase in Mattel's 'share of voice' within their yearly marketing calendar. Identifying Aldi as prospective retail partner, I contacted and presented a business case to the Toy Buyer. By negotiating mutually beneficial deals designed to be featured in the Mid-Year and Christmas catalogues, I was able to achieve my New Business KPI by securing an incremental $1mm on my forecasted budget. Working closely with the Metcash Buyer, I was able to negotiate deals that resulted in a 70% increase in core range SKU count and achieved 50% ownership of the IGA Toy Bay planogram. -

The Regency DVD catalogue includes iconic licensed TV, Film, Sport and Lifestyle brands such as WWE, Jamie Oliver, Nigella Lawson, BBC, Fremantle, MGM, CBS and 20th Century Fox. Whilst employed at Regency Media, I developed and maintain business relationships with; Kmart, Target, Big W, JBHIFI, Sanity, ABC & Readings. Working closely with digital content suppliers such as WWE, BBC, ABC, ITV as well as a slew of leading independent music labels, I successfully positioned monthly DVD and CD releases within my account base and orchestrated successful seasonal promotion to further drive deep catalogue sales. During FY2010-2011 I grew Regency’s business with Sanity by 22%, Big W’s business by 3.5 % and, in a declining market, maintained the ABC’s business to a similar level achieved in 2009. In 2012 I was tasked with managing both JBHIFI and Kmart and by September, had grown Regency’s business with these accounts by 13% & 9% YTD respectively. In September 2012, I designed, presented and negotiated a deal with JBHIFI that secured an Album of the Month profile for US band, The Alabama Shakes. This deal provided an order that allowed me to achieve my KPI target. Additional negotiations resulted in over and above merchandising both front of store and in the queue line as well as daily in-store play and catalogue advertising / editorial revue. The overall result of the deal achieved a top 5 Album Chart debut for a previously unknown act in Australia.
