John Watson is retired after more than 37 years as a Partner and General Counsel at Bradley. He practiced general litigation in Bradley's Birmingham office since 1984, and handled a wide variety of complex cases in both state and federal courts during that time. He has substantial experience in handling complicated business disputes, products liability and other personal injury defense matters, along with consumer class action, general commercial, software licensing, bankruptcy and securities fraud cases. John's clients have included several tire, juvenile products, consumer, pharmaceutical, agricultural, chemical, and heavy industrial products manufacturers, as well as numerous banks and financial services companies. In the course of representing these clients, he has been lead counsel on various serious injury cases involving multiple deaths, brain injury and paralysis, as well as several high stakes and "bet the company" commercial litigation lawsuits. Some of these matters are national in scope, including several in federal multi-district litigation. John is also interested in technology and professional responsibility matters, and has served as head of the Firm's technology committee as well as one of the Firm's internal claims and loss prevention counsel.
