I returned to UEA Student Union in October 2021 to work a a duty manager for the 1500 capacity LCR gig venue and 2200 capacity club venue.

A brief transfer to UEA during covid saw me back running the pizza kitchen and food truck operation in and around Union House

This was my 3rd role at UEA SU, previously starting as a Venue Supervisor and moving to Assistant Bars and Catering Manager in 2017. Alongside these roles, I duty managed events.My successes in this role include:Setting up a successful pizza kitchen and acheiving a level 5 food hygiene rating. I managed increase of 4% in wet GP and a 30% increase in turnover in my first 2 years, largely through product development.I have developed a training program for a student staff team that trains 100+ new staff every year.

Ultimately being given responsibility for orders, rotas and running the kitchen despite being part time. I ended up going on to become Assistant Manager at their sister pub, The Smugglers Inn.
