I have the pleasure of managing the Infrastructure Team for Mott MacDonald in Bristol. The 19 strong team of civil engineers undertake a variety of highways, power, utilities, flood defence and drainage infrastructure projects. My responsibilities include technical guidance and review of our design work, team leadership, customer relations, bidding and business development, project management and the professional development of team members.I have recent specialist experience on civil design for the Installation of buried HV cables for National Grid, Highways design experience for developers, local authorities, the highways agency and on international projects. My team has also been working on utilities diversions for major Light Rapid Transit schemes, new depot facilities for VOSA and the HA and waste management facilities for Local Authorities. In addition to design support I also have experience in enabling Construction, providing optionneering and scoping technical advice, supporting the planning and environmental strategies. Including taking scheme through the Development Consent Order (DCO) process. This has included providing planning advisory services, assisting developers through planning and through the discharge of conditions under Section 106 and 50 (works undertaken on the LA’s assets by the developer) and Section 278 (where the LA or HA undertake works on their network at the developers expense).
