John Wessel is the Chief Executive Officer and a founding member of Vertex Wireless LLC. Vertex Wireless is a leading technology 4PL distribution, logistics, and engineering solutions firm with a focus on the growing wireless and IoT ecosystems. Since its inception in 2006 Vertex has evolved into one of the largest distributors of unlocked mobile devices, tablets, wearables, virtual reality gear and engineering services in the United States. In his role as CEO John has proven himself to be a highly flexible, hands on leader who consistently delivers growth and profitability by adapting quickly to the ever-changing wireless industry landscape. Mr. Wessel also serves as a partner and advisor to both LMR Distributing and ACS Incorporated. LMR and ACS are leading distributors of commercial and consumer tier two-way radios. Mr. Wessel was also a partner in Mobile Venture Partners which owned and operated a large chain of T-Mobile retail stores throughout the Southeast. Prior to the formation of Vertex, Mr. Wessel began his career in 1987 with the Motorola Corporation where he held many sales and executive positions managing many of the company’s largest accounts including T-Mobile, Cricket, Southwestern Bell, and Radio Shack. Mr. Wessel currently resides in the Chicago area with his wife Mindy and 5 Children.
