• Assist with the college network as needed.• Act as the backup for the Network and Information Security Administrator.• Assist in the development and implementation of effective and reasonable practices to secure protected and sensitive data and ensure information security and compliance with relevant legislation and legal interpretation.• Stay abreast of information security issues and regulatory changes affecting higher education at the state and national level, and communicate to the Network and Information Security Administrator and the IT Director on a regular basis.• Create education and awareness programs and advise units at all levels on security issues, best practices, and vulnerabilities• Maintain, install, test, troubleshoot, and repair computers, technology equipment, including software and related supplies, at all college locations. • Maintain real-time inventory of all hardware and software owned by the college. • Provide support for and coordinate completion of tickets for the college’s help desk system.
