An engineer by training, I have experience of working in England, South Korea, and Japan alongside colleagues from many occupational and cultural backgrounds. I enjoy the diverse challenges of problem-solving and innovating in a global environment.Having graduated from a Master of Engineering course at Imperial College London, my non-technical experience is focused toward project management, live presentation, and user-centred design. These and other 'soft' skills have been honed during the prestigious 19-month Daiwa Scholarship in Tokyo, Japan: a programme designed to train future leaders in UK-Japan business relations.I undertook doctoral study at the University of Cambridge as part of their pioneering CDT in Integrated Photonic and Electronic Systems (IPES). During this programme I gained experience of managing an extended and intricate project with ambitious aims. My research focused on creating novel nanostructures for display technologies such as Virtual/Augmented Reality (VR/AR), and made extensive use of adaptive optics and holograms.I subsequently worked as a news presenter at a British media startup in order to develop my experience of public speaking, and broaden my knowledge of society and culture in general.
