Project Manager - City Connect 2 Leeds City Centre Cycle Superhighway, Sep 2016 – to March 2018. Leeds City Council – Clients - Project lead in charge of the delivery of the £6.5million CityConnect2 cycle ambition. My responsibilities include Programming, financial management, team management as well as overall control of the design elements of the project. The role includes the production of Project Board, Highways Board and Executive Board reports and requires close liaison with Senior Council Officers, Councillors, external businesses/organisations and members of the public. Responsibilities also include presenting and updating on the project at cycle forums, conferences, stakeholder groups and liaison with other Cycle Ambition Cities to share best practice.Design Team Lead - City Connect 2 Leeds City Centre Cycle Superhighway, Feb 2016 – to Sep 2016. Leeds City Council – Clients - Responsible for the design and development of the CityConnect2 cycle ambition. Leading a team to deliver a highway scheme with respect to design, contract documentation and procurement; and ensuring that delivery is achieved in accordance with management systems including Health and Safety, project and risk management. Responsibilities also included detailed liaison and consultation with internal Council departments, private developers and affected businesses, attendance at public consultation events to provide technical feedback.

Various Feasibility Studies - In sole charge of the production of engineering feasibility studies including one into potential engineering solutions at a declared Air Quality Management site at Bond End, Knaresborough and another for a high quality Cycle Superhighway link for cyclists along the A59 corridor and adjacent to the B6162 between Knaresborough and Cardale Park, Harrogate.Both studies involved careful liaison with various Council Departments, external clients and involved working closely to detailed briefs with strict timescales. Local Sustainable Transport Fund (LSTF) for Harrogate, Mar 2012 to Mar 2015- Responsible for conception, design and delivery of a programme of sustainable transport infrastructure improvement schemes associated with the LSTF for Harrogate. The combined value of the grant and NYCC local contributions of just over £2.5million resulted in improvements to the cycle, bus and walking environment, travel planning information and public realm enhancements. The LSTF work involved the careful management of budgets not only in terms of scheme delivery but also in terms of monitoring staff time committed to the project. The project also required communication with members of the public, District and County Councillors, MPs and other Council departments on issues associated with the project as well as regular liaison with contractors ranging from contract supervision to site supervision.Highways and Transportation, 2009 to 2016- Delivery through design and supervision of Highway Improvement and Maintenance schemes from inception to completion under the New Engineering Contract. - Delivery of cycling improvement schemes including the construction of new cycle paths, shared use cycle facilities and toucan crossing facilities. - Responsible for management of events on the public highway s. This included specific high profile events such as Military Homecoming Parades and the Olympic Torch Relay.

- Design and supervision of Highway Improvement and Traffic Management projects ranging from traffic calming schemes and footway construction to junction realignments under the ICE conditions of Contract.- Regular contact with contractors and sub-contractors before and during the construction phase to discuss design issues, health and safety concerns and construction issues.- Delivery of wide scale Passenger Transport Upgrade schemes and Variable Message Sign installation schemes throughout Harrogate and Knaresborough involving the collation of a large package of design and contract data.- Collation of a formal tender for provision of sign supply services to the Traffic section.- Responsible for the maintenance, collation and retrieval of accident collision data held on the Council’s accident information software system.
