Material Controller/ Pipeyard Team LeaderPeterson SBS have been my employer for the past 9.1/2 years.In my initial role, I was employed as a Banksman Slinger. I then progressed to the Inspection Forklift driver where I developed my stock control and management skills.From there I was promoted to Material Controller, dealing with all aspects of our clients needs for storage and shipment. This required to meet deadlines whilst adhering to HSEQ, Oil and Gas guidelines and also became a Representative of Employee Safety, which I believe to be a very important role within the business.I currently hold position of Pipeyard Team Leader, being in charge of the daily running of our extensive external lay down areas. I coordinate tasks between our fleet of 3 cranes, 16 forklifts and 3 crews of Base Operatives. I am responsible for the organisation and the safe storage, shipment and transportation of materials. A multiple of clients inventory being shipped to offshore locations and many destinations across the globe.I strive to ensure our service is the best it can be for both our clients and my work colleagues.
