John has an active litigation practice in the areas of transportation and logistics, product liability, premise liability and insurance defense. He also aids clients with regulatory and compliance matters.John is a Past President of the Transportation Lawyers Association, an independent bar association whose members assist providers and commercial users of all modes of domestic and international transportation and logistics services. Prior to joining Dysart Taylor, John served as an assistant prosecutor for the state of Kansas. During that time, he prosecuted and tried numerous cases including drug violations, property crimes, and violent crimes. In addition, he taught criminal procedure at the police academy in Lawrence, Kansas.John is admitted to practice in all state and federal courts in Missouri and Kansas as well the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois, the 8th Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals and the 10th Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals.

During John's tenure in the prosecutor's office, he prosecuted hundreds of cases including a wide range of violent crimes and drug offenses. In addition to his trial duties, he briefed and argued cases before the Kansas Supreme Court and Court of Appeals.
