After university I qualified as a solicitor with a practice in Manchester before being tempted into what appeared then (and still does) a very interesting career in claims. I joined Thomas Howell Selfe in the City in 1981 transferring to Edinburgh in 1986 to assume responsibility for the Group's casualty and construction claims in Scotland. I headed back to Manchester in 1990 as Northern Regional Co-ordinator for those divisions. In 1995 I joined Ashworth Mairs Group to head the National Casualty Unit.Having had these directorship and partnership roles I was encouraged by clients to establish my own practice which I did by forming Howell Wild Chartered Loss Adjusters in 2001. The company has seen steady growth since then and currently employs a team of highly qualified and committed staff specialising in product, public and employers liability claims together with professional negligence and other related issues in the UK and overseas.
