Stretch assignments included extensive participation in GM COVID-19 GM Ventilator Program (Project V), personally directing Japan-based supplier in launch of 24 new molding tools for seals, with execution in four week time frame.

Successfully guided interenationally-based engine Supplier Quality Engineers through timing execution on PPAP and R@R events, developed and maintained Supplier Risk Pyrimid, conducted Key Supplier Meetings for critical hardware, created and maintained Gamma Wall status, created and organized Supplier Launch Symposium for CSS engines at Spring Hill Engine Plant, delivered critical-situation reports in Executive PSQRR forum, conducted on-site Launch Audits, and intervened in pre-launch and post-launch risk mitigation. Also conducted ongoing bi-weekly collaboration sessions for special-situation suppliers, resulting in reduced common-hardware risk for following engine launches. Duties included direction of activities of five Buyers, aggressive reduction in operating inventories through turns analysis, assurance of continuous material flow to assembly operations, creation of purchasing policy/procedure/work instructions, and expansion of Asian sourcing initiatives. Led Material Control implementation for BAAN ERP software system launched February 2000. Also directly involved with Numatics ISO9001 Certification Team; certification achieved November 2000.

Responsible for all customer interface and financial management involved in operation of this commercial amusement equipment company. Conducted banking, administrative, tax and cash collection tasks, as well as solicitation of new accounts, advertising, Internet sales operations, and negotiation of all capital equipment purchases. The company was often commissioned to undertake comprehensive restoration of vintage pinball machines, several of which were purchased for archival purposes by the manufacturers which originally built them.

Responsible for procurement of all materials purchased internationally, with heavy concentration on Pacific Rim sourcing. Also responsible for distribution planning of Lionel-designed products sold under license to Mattel, Inc. and shipped Asia-direct to worldwide destinations. Commodities purchased included electronics, Printed Circuit Board assemblies, zinc die castings, machined parts, decorated components and complete custom products. Other responsibilities included domestic procurement of production tooling, secondary-coating processes, machined components, springs, wireforms, gears and bearings. Total annual procurement budget exceeded six million dollars. Led Material Control sections of implementation of BPICS MRPII/S38 system.
