Im often confronted with a cantankerous device/ system of unknown specification or function (to me) that Im not familiar with and most often can restore it to working order quickly and efficiently. First question, "What does it do you wish it wouldn't"​ or "what would you like it to do that it currently wont?"--Multi Media System Consultation, Design, Installation, Diagnostic and Repair for ITS, Departments and groups. I have personally designed, installed and maintained over 200 Technology Enhanced Teaching/ Learning Spaces/ Systems during my time at Colgate. ---Campus Infrastructure assistance repairing and maintaining various systems that are responsible for control, remote monitoring and security of the Campus. ----Media Art Preparation soup to nuts for world famous, not so famous and soon to be famous resident and visiting artists. I was born the faithful son of an Artist and have served as the Artists Helper most of my lifetime. This is one of my favorite and more challenging niches of my career. Ive been very lucky to be requested to innovate devices, sets and script entire campus wide art expositions for some very interesting Programmers, Artists and Curators as Ann Hamilton, Gregory Green, Nam Pak, Dajuin Yao, Dara Birnbaum, Amar Kanwar, Laura U. Marks, The Flaherty Documentary Seminars and many others. I dont create The Art, I just try to help the art present itself the best ways it can! My intent is to never have the installation judged or alter the Artists Concept or presentation, just glorify the Artist and Artwork itself with due care and concern. Curators, Preparators and Artists from galleries around the world are amazed and pleased with the high quality and attention to detail given to each and every one or the works of Art they entrust to our University for display.

As outlined elsewhere in my profile, my primary trained, learned and experienced professions are Leadership and Electronics but that's not all I do or try. Because LI is a pro network, this is the place where my additional "not yet perfected yet relevant skills"​ come in to view. When Im not working for someone else professionally, Im OJTing (On the Job Training) one or more of my additional duties that come with being a "This Old House"​ Homeowner, Partner, Dad, neighbor and friend with lots of tools and some learned/ practical know-how. My "trainers"​ are Professional friends, coworkers, associates, the internet and information I can glom onto to do whatever needs to be done that I can learn how to "DIY"​ myself. Its interesting, fun, Mind Expanding and fits my Green Times Two model (Good for the planet and good for me!). Lastly, it greatly extends my ability in my primary profession to serve a very diverse customer base in ways I never could as a Lead Electronics Technician.I will post some pics of my "work" here and add some narrative. I am not great at documenting my non work related projects. Unfortunately my sledge hammer and sawzall often get to work before I remember to take the before shots but I will try to improve on that!
