My primary role in the lending process is to review, analyze, and grade real estate and commercial loans. Loans are reviewed prior to approval. The borrower’s repayment capacity is determined. Strengths and weaknesses are identified and a grade and recommendation are provided for the board of directors to consider during the approval process.Additionally, large credit liabilities and a random selection of commercial and real estate loans are reviewed annually. Files are examined for adherence to loan policies, regulation requirements, and documentation accuracy and completeness.

• Open new accounts and process pending loans• Conduct daily transactions while recognizing regulatory compliance• Assist members identify and meet financial needs• Manage delinquent loans and collections• Approve or deny loans. Increase loan volume by recommending additional loan products. • Review denied loan requests and make recommendations for alternatives• Verify status of delinquent notices and follow-up with a collection letter/call. Contact members to determine the reasons for delinquency and develop plan to bring accounts to a current status.• Authorize and initiate legal proceedings and attend hearings. • Determine when loan collateral should be repossessed and proceed following Credit Union policy.• Sell Credit Insurance, warranties, and GAP insurance to meet the needs of the members and to protect the credit union against loss
