I worked at Biffa at a recycling plant, I have undergone a lot of training on things like COSH, IOSH, Fire extinguisher, 5S and plant based machinery. I currently work in logistics using a FLT truck to move stock about, FIFO/stock control, 5S, weigh bridge operator for vehicles coming in and out of site.

I worked at Lear Corporation for 2-3 years where I carried out a range of jobs on a rota basis working with foam for the automotive industry. I started as agency staff where after 3 months gained a permanent contract after showing my dedication, hard work, knowledge and experience. I used my skills as a more experienced operative into the warehouse where I took over running the warehouse for the shift doing such things as loading/receiving deliveries, forklift duties, stock control/FIFO, supervising/guide/train picker packers to make sure they were doing their job to the best of their ability for smooth operations, 5S, KPI’S, maintain and monitor SOP’s for the warehouse operations and any other associated tasks.

I have worked for MTREC Recruitment agency on various occasions as a Production/warehouse operative for various companies such as Gestamp Tallents which manufactures automotive parts and also Thorn lighting which manufactures industrial light fittings.

In my 2-3 years with Nissan Motor Manufacturing I carried out a range of jobs on a rota basis which varies from basic MIG welding to loading and bolting doors onto a vehicle body and various other tasks. I then moved into logistics where I used FLT trucks to make sure the line was fed with materials, 5S, stock control/FIFO. Whilst working at Nissan I also worked towards and achieved a NVQ level 2 in Performing Manufacturing Operations via Gateshead college.
