I'm a "John of Many Trades" insofar as I'm on my sixth or seventh career, depending upon how one counts. I'm an expert and veteran software developer with experience designing and creating applications for Windows, iOS/iPadOS, macOS, Linux, other operating systems, and broadly experienced with web development (front and back end) as well. I'm fluent in too many computing tools, environments and platforms to list.But of late I've been trending more toward technical marketing and evangelism, seeing how that requires those aforementioned technical skills yet also lets me bring more of myself to the job. In particular, I'm also good at analysis, writing, communications, audio/video production, and public speaking, which means I'm good at understanding the value that technology brings and translating that value in a variety of contexts--both communicating to the customer and training internal marketing/sales staff.Throughout my career, I've performed as an individual contributor more than a manager, but I've also led teams of technical staff in building hardware, firmware, software, and entire custom solutions in a number of industries. I maintained a consulting firm of my own for years and have successfully concluded hundreds of projects from mom and pop shops to Fortune 100 organizations.In short, I most enjoy bringing my talents to bear on solving problems and building better tools and systems, technological or otherwise. I look forward to whatever comes next!
