My past and present-day experiences in the refining and pipeline industries have caused my attention and professional concerns to be focused on cultural changed within an industrial setting. A Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Industrial Organizational and a Minor in Project Management is aiding with driving cultural change and improving competency levels of the workforce by using multiple learning tools throughout Holly Energy Partners. Included in my present position is the implementation of 49 CFR 192, 195, by overseeing the OQ program for internal and external (contractors) employees by coordinating efforts and company requirements with ISNetworld, NCCER, Energy World Net, OQSG and NACE. Several years acting as a LMS Administrator has also given me additional experience in what programs have yielded positive and negative onboarding program results in the area of compliance, clarification of roles, culture, and, connection. In addition, 20 years of past experience in the mining industry (potash and copper surface operations) has complimented my work history by being heavily involved in multiple operational positions through the roles of an operator and supervisor. Offering individuals and groups the tools needed to succeed in their professional and personal lives gives me a great sense of satisfaction and a drive to pursue additional opportunities with others.
