Managed the Transition for the Ontario Sales Group from HBG to Vista.New Creative and Traffic systems, Major Account shuffles, New reporting procedures, all whilst time managing my role as Dir of Sales previously in the employ of the Haliburton Broadcasting Group below. Very fortunate, as a youngster in the 70's, to work at Standard when the Blacks owned it. Unbelievably fantastic memories working with the GREAT Bill Herz off and on for 27 years!Was even more fortunate to work for & with, & report to "The Chief", Gary Slaight (and Allan on occasion), two of Canada's finest business minds in Broadcasting. My time with Gary and his managers is unforgettable. A very generous guy who LOVES the music business. Was the #1 Acct Exec for several years at different stations // transitioning into different managerial roles. It was not until I was mentored by Christopher Grossman, did I become my most effective as a Business Development Trainer, Manager and Account Executive.Kinda, "The Time of my life" really :)

While working at Standard Broadcasting my wife and I opened the FIRST franchise of "New York Fries" in Canada! - in the Oakville Place Mall. Subsequently opened the Sherway Gardens store (twice!) and finally, purchased the existing Don Mill Plaza store.. A great and profitable experience - understanding the ins and outs of royalties, rent, $ per sq ft, payroll, cost controls and yes.... GROWING SALES ! Being a 'client' for a change!Jay Gould, the Franchisor, was absolutely top drawer, and continues his success with arguably the best french fry product in the world ! Adding South Street Burger to the fold in the last several years. Another proven winner!
