Finished University with a BSc Electronic Systems with Distinction worked as a Lecturer, Electronics Design Engineer, and a Firmware/Software Engineer. Area of specialism being Lonworks, Powerbuilder, Sybase, RFI Smartcards. Software/Firmware systems designed typically based around Access Control, Visitor Systems and Time & Attendance.In 2002 I setup 1stElectrical to service the Electrical Installation requirement of Cumbria, later extending this to provide Plumbing and Gas services. During this time I completed both Electrical and Plumbing apprenticeships at Carlisle College to support our Engineers.On achieving my goals within the service sector of Electrical, Plumbing and Gas with 1stElectrical.com and 1st4Gas.com I decided to give something back to society by becoming a secondary school teacher. I applied for and was successful in completing a PGCE in Secondary Education at the University of Sunderland specialising in Mathematics. My NQT year was spent at Newman Catholic School, Carlisle where I was employed on a fulltime permanent basis, this is where I remained until Apr 2014 holding the position of 2I/C Maths. It was at this point I felt that I needed to gain experience in another school. As a result I applied for and was offered the post of Teacher of Maths/Physics at Moffat Academy. I have since moved from Moffat to Perth Grammar school, where I currently work.
