Interned in Ireland through the study abroad program at NDSU during the summer of 2018. Performed tasks for senior engineers that included calculating structural loads, designing pad foundations, measuring building floor plans and drawing them with AutoCAD, measuring floor slab deflection in buildings under construction, and designing excel spreadsheets to make various structural design calculations more efficiently.

Promoted to Engineering Technician after one summer of employment. Employed during the summers of 2015-2017. Performed engineering tasks including surveying, construction inspection, CAD drafting, materials testing, and hydrologic study and hydraulic analysis of drainage channels. Collaborated with project engineers, EIT's, contractors, and other technicians on a regular basis.

Hired right out of High School in the summer of 2014 as a seasonal worker. Assisted in the land surveying of local construction projects including a new municipal airport, county roads, and city streets. Collected haul tickets on asphalt paving operations and recorded ticket information on haul sheet. Assisted materials tester in various soil tests.
