The team manager is responsible for the UKHO SAP Competency Team whose purpose is to enhance and support the existing UKHO SAP business infrastructure which is primarily based around a SAP R/3 implementation (ECC6). And to ensure support is provided to users of the systems, service delivery functions, business requirements are met & delivered to a high standard.This post will be responsible for operational performance of the team to meet all SLA/KPIs/OLAs-MI reporting and addressing day to day escalations relating to the activities of the team.The Team Manager will identify and recommend activities to meet the strategic business requirements, as well as make recommendations on the use and development of SAP to further improve & enhance the use of SAP across the organisation. The post-holder will liaise closely with programme & project managers and represent the Technology Division on SAP related project boards.Manage all SAP related change requests; complete preliminary analysis & evaluation to determine route of delivery from impact analysis through to delivery into the live system. Ensuring change control procedures are followed and in line with ITIL & UKHO working practices. Act as the primary point of contact for internal system users and the external SAP Support Partners. Interact/liaise with staff at all levels and all areas of the business, SAP Expert Users, Project Managers, Sponsors and third party Support Partners.

Responsible for delivering & maintaining the SAP Archiving strategy. Identifying additional SAP data tables/objects to be archived; running the archiving processes & resolving archiving issues etc. Manage all SAP related Incidents and change requests; complete preliminary analysis & evaluation to determine route of resolution/delivery.Manage the delivery of all SAP change requests from impact analysis through to delivery into the live system. Ensuring change control procedures are followed and in line with ITIL & UKHO working practices. Act as the primary point of contact for internal system users and the external SAP Support Partners. Interact/liaise with staff at all levels and all areas of the business, SAP Expert Users, Project Managers, Sponsors and third party Support Partners.

Provide senior technical support for the SAP system from a database (Oracle) and Basis perspective. Manage the provision of the SAP system services to the wider UKHO, in line with business requirements contained within agreed SLA’s. Manage the delivery of all SAP change requests to the live system from impact analysis through to final sign-off. Responsible for the delivery of service requests in line with the Service Catalogue. Manage/maintain all SAP user accounts, ensuring authorizations and system security meets the requirements of the business.
