• Actively manage a revolving portfolio of over 40 performing and specially-serviced (defaulted) CMBS loans with an aggregate principal balance of over $300 million, which include handling the negotiations of workouts on defaulted loans, debt assumptions, collateral modification requests, and various other proposals requiring special servicer approval.• Assess and evaluate non-performing loan issues and negotiate resolutions with borrowers to mitigate losses to the bondholders and maximize returns through various strategies, including modifications, discounted payoffs, deed-in-lieu of foreclosures, and foreclosures.• Personally negotiated and resolved over 80 loans since 2013 that resulted in over $10MM in default interest and fee income for the company.• Underwrote prospective investments in Commercial mortgage-backed securities (CMBS) at the individual loan level by modeling property cash flows, gathering local market intel, and projecting any potential losses during the term of the loan.• Assisted in the resolution of over $600 million in distressed CMBS loans by undertaking and completing loan workouts from start to finish, including negotiating with respective borrowers, modeling cash flows and losses based on revised loan terms, and then preparing deal summaries for senior management approval.
