- Responsible for providing police services in a diverse community of approximately 90,000 people. Have successfully investigated numerous offenses ranging from the sexual abuse of children to gang-related shootings.- As the Assistant Team Leader for the Tactical Marksman Unit of the department’s Special Weapons & Tactics (SWAT) Team, developed and implemented Standard Operating Procedures and annual training plans- As a member of the department’s SWAT Team, participated in numerous critical incidents, both in Nashua and in surrounding communities. Led the Nashua Police Department’s Tactical Marksman Unit in providing counter-sniper coverage during Vice-President Biden’s visit to Nashua in 2010. Provided counter-sniper coverage during presidential candidate Mitt Romney’s campaign visit to Nashua, September 2012. Participated in the search for Boston Marathon bombing suspect, Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, in Watertown, MA in April, 2013.- As a member of the department’s Crime Scene Unit developed and instructed a class on the evidentiary value of gunshot wounds, and processed numerous felony-level crime scenes to include homicides

Develop and facilitate the execution of strategic-level exercises, with a focus on Homeland Security and Anti-Terrorism/Force Protection. The Center for Applied Strategic Learning (CASL) designs national security exercises in support of the National Defense University’s core academic mission. The exercises assist senior leaders to think critically and enhance their decision making capabilities. CASL exercises challenge participants to address complex problems at a strategic level in a “not for attribution” academic environment.

- Lead and facilitate seminar discussions on a wide variety of topics related to national security. The RCNSC is a two-week seminar offered to senior officers and non-commissioned officers (E8-E9) of the U.S. Reserve Components, allied officers, and select civilians working in national security. The RCNSC is designed to lay a foundation for students moving on to joint command management and staff responsibilities in a multinational, intergovernmental, or joint national security setting. The curriculum consist of lectures, panel discussions, seminars, on-site visits and a simulation exercise dealing with national security policy and defense resource management. The presenters are faculty members of the National War College, the Eisenhower School (formerly known as the Industrial College of the Armed Forces), the Information Resource Management College (IRMC), and other distinguished speakers.- Mentor students during a national crisis response exercise. The exercise provides an experience in national decision making that identifies and applies the instruments of national power in support of national interest. It calls for the application of a wide range of political, economic, military, diplomatic, and social measurements to advance national objectives, emphasizing joint and combined operations.

- Advise the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) Region II Defense Coordinating Officer on Marine Corps capabilities related to Department of Defense (DoD) support of civil authorities during natural and man-made disasters, to include terrorist attacks- Participated in the May 2011 National Level Exercise (NLE) “Ardent Sentry”, a multi-state federal disaster response exercise based on the New Madrid Fault catastrophic earthquake scenario- Participated in Exercise “Vibrant Response” (2011, 2012, and 2013), a nuclear detonation-based terrorist attack scenario exercising national chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear response capabilities- Supported NY state authorities during Hurricane Irene (September 2011)- Supported the Virgin Islands Emergency Management Agency (VITEMA) during Tropical Storm Isaac (August 2012)- Served as the senior military liaison officer to the US Secret Service and numerous other federal, state, and local law enforcement/emergency management agencies during the 2012 Republican National Convention in Tampa, FL- Supported the US Secret Service for the 66th (2011) and 67th (2012) United Nations General Assemblies in New York City- Supported NY/NJ state authorities and FEMA during Hurricane Sandy, October/November 2012, as the Mission Assignment Manager. Processed all requests for DoD support during response and recovery operations, and coordinated the deployment/employment of Marine forces in support of civil authorities.- Participated in the May 2013 FEMA Exercise “Blue Surge”, a Caribbean federal disaster response exercise based on a catastrophic earthquake/tsunami scenario- Featured presenter at the 2013 New Hampshire Emergency Preparedness Conference

- Mentored mid- and senior-level foreign military officers in military operational planning, with a specific focus on counter-terrorism efforts in sub-Saharan Africa in support of Operation Enduring Freedom, Trans-Sahara- Instructed foreign military staffs deploying in support of ongoing United Nations, African Union, and NATO missions (Darfur, Somalia, Kosovo). Developed and ran supporting computer-based, battalion and brigade-level staff training simulations.- Developed and conducted a lecture/guided discussion on Terrorism Issues in Africa to an audience of over 60 military officers from 14 European and African countries

- Responsible for all Title X (Manning, Training, and Equipping) related to all Iraqi Police forces in western Iraq- Developed and implemented a police reconstruction model that directly led to the first effective police presence in western Iraq since the 2003 invasion.- Led a team of 21 Marines and 40 International Police Advisors. Directly supervised the efforts of three Provincial Reconstruction Teams, one Local Reconstruction Team (Fallujah), and a regional Iraqi Police and Border Guard Academy.- Oversaw the development and execution of a $6.5 million police facility construction budget
