Development Lab performs 1) a satellite fermentation process in parallel to cGMP manufacture up to 20K L for quality control, 2) Perform risk assessment analysis to generate the CQA and KPA for new manufacture process by perturbation experiments, 3) Perform PLE DOE process to set up/confirm the acceptable process parameters for new cGMP manufacture process and 4) Perform Product quality/quantity oriented exploring process improvement experiments. 5) Perform small scale down stream process and analytical analysis on product quality. and 6) Write all the reports summering the experimental designs, rationales, results and concepts-proven suggestions for customer in timely manner.

My job duty mainly focus on upstream process development, trouble-shooting for the issues in Manufacture site, tech-transfer and establishing process description (PD including gap analysis, writing document control plan & create project related SOPs, floor tech personal training, after campaign review and annual progress report. I also have been involved in many deviations closure team and played an important role by contributing my comprehensive skills/knowledge sets

• Take a leading role for company’s Bio-reagent manufacture’s operation needed for r-proteins/enzymes & mAB and stem cell related product’s production by applying all commercial available expression systems . • Write and revise SOP for cell culture/purification operation or related activities and review/sign off batch records/other documents daily to ensure our operational documents to be compliance to cGMPs standards.

Lead a Protein Science team engaging in CRO based r-mAB/r-protein production services for multiple Pharmaceutical companies in China, US and Europe from gene-subcloning, HTS-based cloning screening, multiple gram-level expression in four multiple expression system/chromatography purification, analytical analysis for product qualifications.........

Sr. Research Scientist & Enzymology team (4 people) leader for Philip Morris USA Inc., an Altria Group Company at Richmond of VA. My research team discovered an important group of hydrolytic enzymes underlying the development of MST (Moist Smokeless Tobacco) flavor & the desired texture during fermentation and how to preserve of shelf-life by regulating those hydrolytic enzymes by applying 2-D Gel followed by LC/MS MALDI-TOFF and enzyme kinetic analysis approaches.
