Proposed and received a $2000 grant from the IEEE-Chicago Section and a $40,000 grant from The IEEE Foundation for the Science Kits for Public Libraries project. Have awarded grants to 26 public libraries in the Midwest in 2012. Since then the following Chicago area libraries have received grants: - 2013 Mahomet, Crystal Lake, Frankfort; 2014 - Cary, Schaumburg, Orland Park; 2015 - Hodgkins, Cook Memorial, Helen M.Plum Memorial, Villa Park, Bradley, Alsip-Merrionette Park, Chicago Branches in Brighton Park, Edgewater, Greater Grand Crossing, Rodgers Park, South Shore, Toman; and 2016 – Blue Island, Glenside.

Currently serve as Member Communications Chair responsible for the Section's monthly newsletter and the Chicago Section website. Have served as Section Treasurer, Secretary, Vice Chair and Chair. Have chaired Student Activities and Professional Activities Standing Committees

Currently serve as Board President and Chair of the Personnel and Finance Committees. Served on the Strategic Planning Committee. Have served as Board Treasurer/Secretary.

Director- Electronic Products Division, S&C Electric CompanyStarted up the electronics group from scratch and built it into an enterprise with $8 million dollars in annual sales . Earned 11 patents.
