Promoted to Manager upon completion of successful migration of all IT responsibilities to client, City of Atlanta Department of Watershed Management. Currently manage all data and voice applications for Headquarters and 7 satellite offices. Part of management assessment team for pending acquisitions and projects both in the US and abroad. Design, present and implement plans for seamless network infrastructure changes with office moves, additions and closures with an emphasis on Active Directory, DNS, Group Policies, DHCP and Exchange email. Implement and manage WatchGuard Security devices across corporate landscape including IPSEC WAN and VPN access. IT PROGRAM MANAGER – CLEAN WATER ATLANTA SEWER PROJECT 2001- 2012Define and execute technology strategies to drive progress of $3B sewer reclamation program. Collaborated with client stakeholders at City of Atlanta Department of Watershed Management and worked closely with client developers to prepare for data migration. Developed comprehensive transition plan for use in future implementations for City of Atlanta. Aligned infrastructure with evolving technology landscape by implementing solutions based on emerging technologies and industry best practices. Introduced Citrix Server, Web Server running IIS 5.0, 6.0, and 7.0, Primavera Server running Expedition 8.5 and 12, and SQL Server. Led 2 seamless Windows migrations with zero downtime including Exchange 2000 to 2007 Server and transition from Windows 2000 to 2008 environment that included Active Directory, WINS, DHCP, and DNS. Created data storage system using 2 SANs and NAS, as well as offsite storage solution using Veritas Backup Exec 13.0 to LTO tape. Strengthened security by implementing Cyberguard Firewall / VPN apparatus. Reduced redundancy and cut costs by establishing VMWare infrastructure. Cut monthly expenditures 67% by negotiating with vendors to maximize copier and printer usage for total savings of $120K. Increased efficiency of multiple remote-user system by installing Citrix to use Expedition as WAN environment. Achieved $20K annual savings by evaluating and recommending new technologies to contract manager with a focus on modernizing systems.

Ensured optimal availability for Windows NT and 2000 in fast paced, time-critical environment including management of 3 Exchange servers, 3 external web servers, Anti-Virus (Exchange 5.0 and file sharing server), Blackberry server file-sharing servers, DNS, WINS, Terminal Services, SQL Servers and DHCP. Proactively performed backups for production and development environments. Managed Lotus Notes to Exchange migration for ~150 users.

Hardware and software support for 2,500 clients in a dual network environment (Windows NT and Banyan) with a mixed Ethernet and Token ring topography. Effectively managed resource and cost loading for multi-million projects focused on municipal and industrial water and wastewater facilities.
