Summer intern for the Sidransky lab in the NHGRI. Participating in the research of a novel c-aBl inhibitor drug ‘Neurotinib,’ I primarily investigated the impact of the drug in Parkinson’s mice models over expressing alpha-synuclein, particularly the inflammatory response. Through western blots and immunohistochemistry, I measured different levels of proteins in mice liver and stained for biomarkers in mice brain tissue, and presented my data at summer poster day.
