As a software architect, I am responsible for the development of new products by a product team of 40+ software designers. I manage market requirements, and translate them into practical software designs to meet market needs. As the product owner in the Agile Software development process, I am responsible for a consistent actionable backlog, and help to lead Scrum teams daily in the implementation and acceptance of new software.

As lead platform designer for the IMS core, I was responsible for design and implementation of high availability software for Voice over IP networks. Concurrent design and programming, database administration, network traffic design, overload design and testing were all integral portions of the design. UML and high level design contributed to robust design patterns and implementation.

As a user interface designer for Telecom Networks, I was responsible for maintaining 10+ applications for administration of hundreds of network elements. I was responsible for upgrades, network communication and protocol intermediation for a variety of network elements, at time directly assisting customers with the administration of their network.

Operational leader for plant maintenance and systems reliability, I was instrumental in increasing plant reliability 4% year over year. I was project leader for major capital projects, and oversaw a budget of several million dollars in plant labour, equipment and regularly scheduled plant overhauls. I was supervisor for several plant staff, and leader for maintenance training for employees within the maintenance function.
